The premise

You have already built a great deal. What if what comes next is not a new idea to find, but a pattern already running through the work you have done?

The Magnum Opus Lab is a private, one-day working session for nine people. Not a seminar, not an assessment, not a workshop about becoming a better version of yourself. It is an excavation of the person who is already there, and the greatest work only you can do.

Who you spend the day with

Shawna Snow, leadership facilitator and organizational learning designer

Shawna Snow

Shawna is a leadership facilitator and organizational learning designer. Her work is building the kind of room where accomplished people stop performing long enough to hear themselves again: for teams in transition, for founders, for groups that have outgrown the story they have been running.

She has lived and worked abroad, across Europe, in different cultures in Africa, and in the United States. She has facilitated inside startups and boardrooms, and designed leadership and social-emotional learning curricula used in schools and youth programs. She is the author of Snow in March, a memoir of loss, grief and resilience. Much of that work has happened in rooms most people never get invited into, doing the quiet, exacting work of helping people tell the truth.

Most of the time Shawna is facilitating on behalf of an organization. Here, for one day, you get her directly: in the room, on your own material, and once more, one-to-one, in the follow-up.

The problem

It isn’t a missing purpose. It’s fragmentation.

You are not short on achievement. What is missing is integration, a way to see how all of it fits together.

The parts don’t talk to each other

Your identity lives in one place, your work in another, your ambition somewhere else again. Each one is clear on its own. The pattern through all of them is not.

Achievement stopped answering the question

You know what you are good at. You have the results to prove it. None of that tells you what the next decade is actually for.

You have data on yourself, not a read

Decades of experience, instinct, feedback, contradiction. It adds up to a lot known about you, and no clear line drawn through you.

Advice keeps arriving. Clarity doesn’t

You are rarely short of input. What is missing is a coherent account of who you have become that you can make decisions from.

“Purpose asks why you are here. Magnum Opus asks what the evidence of your life reveals that you are here to do.”

A map, not a category

What it is

What Magnum Opus actually is

People tend to undersell it as “a purpose exercise.” It is considerably more. Magnum Opus is a patented methodology developed by conxiOS, a way of taking the whole evidence of a person and converging it into one coherent picture.

The foundations

Three Core Drives, six Core Emotions, nine Universal Needs. The primitives everything else is built from.

Fourteen dimensions

Purpose, principle, instinct, passion, potential, polarity and more, mapped, then shown in relation to one another.

The Growth Cycle & Peak Power

Your life in seven-year arcs, converging on a six-word articulation of the force only you bring.

See the fourteen dimensions

Each is a different angle on the same person. Purpose is where the map begins; Peak Power is what they all converge on. You can begin the first three for free in the 3-minute reflection.

  1. P1 · Purposein the free reflection

Why you do what you do, beneath the job title.

  2. P2 · Perceptionin the free reflection

The lens that shapes what you notice first.

  3. P3 · Peoplein the free reflection

Who you're actually building this for.

  4. P4 · Promise

What you deliver, once you strip away the hedging.

  5. P5 · Primal Instinct

What you fall back on when things get hard.

  6. P6 · Passion

Where your energy shows up without being asked.

  7. P7 · Polarity

The tension you're built to hold.

  8. P8 · Principles

The line you won't cross, even when it costs you.

  9. P9 · Potential

What you're capable of that you haven't claimed yet.

  10. P10 · Possibility

What opens up once the old story stops running.

  11. P11 · Probability

What's actually likely, if nothing changes.

  12. P12 · Perspective

The vantage point only you have.

  13. P13 · Pursuits + Prosperity

What you're building next, and what it's worth.

  14. P14 · Peak Power

Who you are at your sharpest.

The day

One day. Nine people. 9:00 to 4:00, with an hour for lunch.

You do not need to memorise a schedule. Understand it in the morning, build it through the day, speak it in the afternoon. Here is what to expect from each part.

Morning session

  • A plain account of what Magnum Opus is: the foundations, the fourteen dimensions, and how they resolve into a single Peak Power. You leave this part knowing exactly what you are building and why it is worth the day.

  • A short map of your life in seven-year arcs, so you are standing in your own story before you go deep.

  • The guided work itself: individual, unhurried, most of the way through the process before the break.

  • Before lunch, Shawna names out loud what each person is walking out with and what it is for, with concrete examples of what a finished Magnum Opus lets you decide, say, and stop carrying.

Then an hour for lunch. Lunch is provided.

Afternoon session

  • Finish the work: the remaining dimensions, the synthesis, and the six-word articulation of your Peak Power.

  • Name the greatest work only you can do, out loud, to the room. No one there has anything to sell you. No feedback, no advice. You are simply heard.

  • Close on one question: if this is true, what changes on Monday? One sentence each. Then you set the date for your private follow-up.

Your private follow-up

On a date that suits you, a one-to-one session with Shawna: what your Magnum Opus means in practice, how you bring it into your leadership and your life, and what you might want to keep working on together. Included in the Lab.

The written Magnum Opus is where the work starts, not where it ends. The growth areas it names are worked in sessions afterwards, with Shawna or with another coach trained in the method. Through conxiOS you can also use a private companion built on your Magnum Opus: a mirror that reflects your own values, needs and strengths back to you when a decision is hard, rather than one more thing competing for your attention.

What you leave with

You do not leave with notes. You leave with something you can make decisions from.

Your Magnum Opus

A personal map across the dimensions that have shaped you: purpose, principle, instinct, passion, potential, and the tension you are built to hold, connected into one coherent picture rather than fourteen separate insights.

Your Peak Power

A six-word articulation of the specific force you bring. Not a label for who you are, a read on what you are for.

Your Leadership Translation

One page that turns the map into decisions: how you lead, what to stop doing, where you create the most value, what only you should own, and what your next chapter is asking of you.

A private follow-up with Shawna

A one-to-one session on a later date to work through what your Magnum Opus means for you, how to apply it, and what, if anything, you want to keep working on together.

See it for real

This is what the written output looks like

Not a report you file and forget. One connected document you come back to when a decision is hard. Here is a full example, start to finish.

Understanding was the hidden thread running through my life. Magnum Opus made it visible. Now I no longer grow because I feel I have to. I grow because I consciously choose to.

Reading my finished MO was mind blowing. "This knows me better than I know myself" kept running through my mind. The insights and awareness are treasures that not just resonate, but open up choices of how I can be.
